This policy describes how the Clario mobile application (“the App”) handles information. Clario is an independent project built for personal productivity and as a portfolio / showcase piece.
The App may access and process data that already exists on your device in order to provide its features, including:
PDF merge, reorder, compression, and related operations you perform in the App are intended to run on-device unless you separately use another product or service outside this App.
Some features may use Google’s on-device ML Kit text recognition libraries so text can be read from images you choose. Processing is performed on your device as part of the App; we do not receive those images or recognized text on our servers. Google’s terms and policies may apply to Google’s software components.
We do not ask you to create an account in the App for the features described above, and we do not intentionally collect contact lists, precise location, or similar sensitive categories for those features.
The App may store preferences, indexes, or other lightweight data on your device (for example using local databases or platform storage) to remember settings and improve performance. This data remains on your device unless you export it yourself or the operating system syncs device backups according to your platform settings.
The developer does not hold an account or cloud copy of your library or documents for the on-device features described above. To remove data the App has stored locally:
Erasing the in-app catalog (where the App offers it) removes indexed metadata the App saved; it does not delete your originals in the Photos library unless you use a delete feature inside the App that explicitly removes files.
For privacy-related questions, use the contact email below once you replace the placeholder.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your documents or media with advertisers in the current version.
If you use OS features such as Share, Open in…, or cloud providers you have installed, those services are governed by their own providers’ policies, not this one.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure. Because processing is local, the main risks are device loss, malware, or backups you configure—please use your device’s lock screen and keep your OS updated.
We may update this policy when we ship new features (for example analytics, crash reporting, or ads) or when store rules change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
